Meet Grand Prix Psychology

Hello! Grand Prix Psychology is a fully remote, individual, outpatient provider of psychotherapy. Working with leaders and other high-functioning adults across the country, we deliver mental healthcare that focused on wellbeing in both your personal and professional worlds. Founded by Dr. Kathryn Esquer, Grand Prix Psychology provides empirically-supported psychotherapy guided by years of experience in both clinical and industry settings.

What Drives us

We know that the challenges in our lives do not respect the boundaries of home and work. When we come home too tired after a long work day, it can be harder to find the energy to spend time on hobbies or be fully present with loved ones. If we are feeling depressed and isolated from others, we can lack the ability to think critically and make connections needed for career success. Thoughts of doubt and insecurity can keep us stagnant both inside and outside the workday.

At Grand Prix Psychology, we seek to bridge the gap between the personal and professional. Valuing both as important parts of who we are. While this will look different depending on each person, we will always be a partner, helping you find lasting fulfillment, not temporary solutions,  in each important area of your life.

Guiding Values:

  • Client-Centered: We believe that each client is an individual partner, not simply a consumer of a “one-size fits all product”. We are committed to providing each client with the care and attention, creating a unique treatment approach that fits their needs

  • Research-Backed: Your trust in us is not taken lightly. When working with Grand Prix Psychology, your treatment will be informed by scientific literature and evidence-backed techniques. As such, we are committed to staying up-to-date on the latest research and using them to provide value to clients.

  • Humility and Respect: We believe that all people are worthy of dignity and respect. We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for all clients, valuing their individual values, beliefs, and experiences. This includes, but is not limited to, a focus on providing an equitable therapy environment for all regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or other identity.

What Makes GPP Unique:

We are deep believers in the power of therapy to make meaningful change. However, our unique perspective is especially suited to working with high-functioning leaders and professionals. All therapists in our practice hold a background in empirically backed psychotherapy while also working directly in business-facing roles. Consulting with leaders organizations in diverse fields has provided the inside organizational knowledge needed to help you navigate life inside and outside your work.

With Grand Prix, you don’t have to take the time to explain the realities of leadership or difficulties with rapid deadlines or high-pressure challenges. We all have first-hand evidence that these roles can often be accomplished while achieving high degrees of life satisfaction. Our experience in Executive Coaching, an increasingly sought after service utilized by executives around the globe, allows us to incorporate techniques that will also directly benefit your job performance.
